One Last Day in Da Nang: A Late-Flight Itinerary

A late flight from Da Nang can give you almost a full extra day of holiday.

If you have breakfast at the hotel, check out around 10:00, and do not need to be at the airport until the evening, there is plenty of time to enjoy the city properly — especially if you are not carrying your luggage around with you.

Here is one way to make those final hours count.

10:00 – Check out and send your luggage ahead

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and take care of your bags first.

You could leave them at the hotel and come back later, but that means planning the end of your day around returning to collect them.

Alternatively, arrange for EasyLugg to collect your luggage and deliver it to Da Nang Airport, ready for you later in the evening.

Now the rest of the day is yours.

10:30 – Explore Son Tra Peninsula

Start the day with a trip towards Son Tra Peninsula and Linh Ung Pagoda.

The drive offers some of the best coastal views in Da Nang, and the giant Lady Buddha overlooking the sea is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.

Take your time, enjoy the viewpoints and make the most of being away from the busier parts of the city.

12:30 – Lunch by the sea

Head back towards My Khe for lunch.

This is a good chance for one final Vietnamese meal — seafood, Mi Quang, Banh Xeo or somewhere you discovered earlier in the trip and wanted to return to.

With no luggage to collect later, there is no reason to rush.

14:00 – Last-minute shopping

Spend part of the afternoon picking up anything you missed earlier in the trip.

You could head to AEON Mall or Vincom Plaza for air-conditioned shopping or visit Han Market for local products, souvenirs and gifts.

It is also a good time to buy anything you decided against earlier and have been thinking about ever since.

16:00 – Massage and coffee

After shopping, slow things down.

Book a massage or spa treatment, then stop for one last Vietnamese coffee before the evening.

This part of the day should feel easy. There is no need to squeeze in another attraction when you can simply enjoy being in Da Nang for a few more hours.

17:30 – Dinner with a view

For your final meal, choose somewhere that feels like a proper finish to the trip.

A riverside restaurant along the Han River works well as the city starts to light up, or head to a rooftop restaurant or bar for views across Da Nang.

Keep dinner relaxed but not too late, so there is still plenty of time to reach the airport comfortably.

19:00 – Head to Da Nang Airport

For a flight around 22:00, aim to leave for the airport at around 19:00.

Since your luggage has already been transferred, you don’t need to return to your hotel. Head straight to the airport, meet your bags, check in and continue through to departures without rushing.

Make the extra day count

A late flight doesn’t have to mean your holiday ends at hotel check-out.

Send the luggage ahead, enjoy one last day of sightseeing, shopping, food and coffee, then head straight to the airport when it is finally time to leave.
